Did you know? The Contacts area of your Leap Account is where you can track total Sales by Customer, as well as your Contact’s Subscription status.
What are Contacts in The Leap?
Contacts in The Leap refer to Visitors that convert and become a Contact in your Leap Account by signing up for either free, or purchased Products in your Leap Store. They do this by entering their personal details (name and email address) in the sign up fields within your Leap Products.
Once they sign up for your Products, they are automatically added into the Contacts area of your Leap Account. You may also choose to manually import other Contact data gathered from outside of The Leap in this area, to be able send all Contacts within your Leap account marketing emails.
Viewing Your Contacts Data
To view your Contacts data, start by selecting Contacts from the left menu within your Leap Account.
# of Total Contacts
Your Contacts are totalled for all time (since your Leap Account creation date) and displayed at the top left hand side corner of the Contacts menu.
Contact Personal Details
Within the Contacts table menu, you will be able to track your Contact’s personal details, such as their name and email address, as they have entered these fields of information upon signing up for your Products in your Leap Store.
Last Order Date
The date a contact signed up for your free or paid content is indicated in a list in the Last Order Date column. The Last Order Date column is formatted in descending order from the most recent entry.
Status (Customer or Lead)
The Status Column of the Contacts table indicates the type of Contact. Your Contact will either be shown to be a Customer, or a Lead.
Status: Customer
If the contact purchased a Product within your Leap account, they will be logged as a Customer in the Status column, and further details about their purchase will correspond to the Revenue and Paid Order column of the Contacts table chart data, where the amount of the purchase, and the count of purchases are indicated.
The Contacts area of your Leap Account is where you can track total Sales by Customer. View the Paid Orders and Revenue tab to see all Leap Store orders.
Status: Lead
If the contact has not purchased a Product from your Leap Store, but have instead signed up for free content, they will retain the Status of Lead, until they purchase a Product.
The number of Free Orders they’ve signed up for will be tallied from the Free Orders column:
TIP: Contacts can sign up for both free content and paid Products, and this information will be tracked in both the Paid orders and Free orders columns for each contact, as in the example below:
Understanding Subscription Status
Subscription Statuses refer to the Subscription column of the Contacts area of your Leap Account.
Subscription Statuses offer insight and confirmation regarding if your Contact has opted in, accessed your product, or confirmed their interest in your product, and are fully subscribed to your content.
Types of Subscription Status
The Subscription Status in Contacts indicates whether your Contact is Subscribed, Pending Confirmation, or Requires Opt-in to your content. We’ll go over what each of these Subscription Statuses mean below.
Subscribed Subscription Status
A Subscribed Subscription Status applies to Contacts that have signed up for, and accessed your free content, OR have purchased, and accessed their Purchased Products. Your Contacts are able to receive further marketing material through email from you, or further Products in this state.
Pending confirmation Subscription Status
A Pending confirmation Subscription Status indicates that the contact has not yet accessed, or opened the free or purchased Product, OR they have not clicked “Confirm” regarding their interest in your event. Your Contacts are not able to receive further marketing material through email from you, or further Products in this state, until they take this action.
The Pending confirmation Subscription Status applies to:
- Contacts that have signed up for free material, such as promotional emails or newsletters, a purchased a paid Product, or a non-material Product such as a Book My Time Event
- AND, the Contact also did not click Access now or Confirm within the email they received, to open and access the content.
Requires Opt-In Subscription Status
A Requires Opt-In Subscription Status applies to clients that have chosen to unsubscribe from Leap content previously, and have not yet opted back in, or re-subscribed to Leap Content. A contact with this status will need to click the Access now or Confirm button in the email they receive after signing up for a Product, to adjust their Subscription status to “Subscribed” in the Leap Contacts area, and receive further email content from you.
